The Hebrew Month of Adar 2021
As we look at the characteristics of this month of Adar, the over-all theme is HAPPY. Wow, if we ever needed happy it would be right now!
Happy - joyful; favored; blessed; pleased; contented; satisfied; confidence. Happy is a "sure thing." Happy is not an emotion based on circumstances.
Check this out: I Timothy 1:11 - "according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God..."
Blessed is from a Greek word, makarioi, meaning blessed or happy. Love it. God is a happy God. Let's talk about it. In spite of God's anointed angel, Lucifer, who led an assault on heaven; in spite of Adam's fall; in spite of Abraham's mishaps; in spite of David's sin; in spite of Peter's mouth...God stayed happy because He is a happy God!
Deuteronomy 33:29 (paraphrase is mine) Happy are you. Your enemies shall be found liars and you shall tread on their high places. Happy about it!
Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that has God for his help and whose hope is in the Lord his God. Happy about it!
Acts 26:1-2 Then Agrippa said to Paul. You are permitted to speak for yourself. Then Paul stretched out his hand and answered for himself. I think myself happy, King Agrippa because I shall answer for myself concerning the things I am accused of. Happy about it!
Don't let the "happy zappers" get to you. Here's a few - stress, chaos, worry, unforgiveness, trauma, pain, disorder, confusion, anxiety.
Happy is a sure thing! Adar means strength, good fortune and joy.
Happy comes from a root word - hap, which comes from the Old Norse language. Hap - unexpected good event; to cover up warmly.
DeeAnn and I cover you with happy. We wrap you with happy. We bless you with happy. We say let the unexpected good, happy events begin now.
Remember, God is a happy God. Jesus said, My Father and I are one spirit. Apostle Paul said, Christ in me, the hope of glory. John said, as He is, so are we in this world. Dare we say, we are happy because the happy God abides in us. Let that thought displace the happy zappers. Meditate on it until it changes the way you think. I think myself happy!
