HEBREW MONTH OF TISHREI SEPT 12 – OCT 11, 2026 HEAD OF THE YEAR ROSH HASHANAH 5787
The Hebrew month of Tishrei is packed with faith opportunities: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Tabernacles
*Head of the year – start of new year
*Yom Kippur - (carries a special power to cleanse our mistakes and wipe the slate clean)
*Tabernacles – appointed time to come boldly into His presence knowing every hindrance is removed. Wow!
How did we get to “the year of greater things?” Casually reading John 14 and got to verse 12 in the Amplified – “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if any one steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do and he will do even greater things than these because I go to the Father.”
The new Hebrew year is 5787.
Breaking it down –
*5700 in Hebrew means-may it be the year of.
*80 is the letter Pey and means the voice.
*7 is the letter Zayin and means crowned sword or weapon.
This is a year where the possibilities are endless in this sense:
Things – old things are passed away and ALL things are new.
It’s hard to get to the new when the same old stuff keeps happening.
To that we exercise Pey Zayin.
I use my voice (Pey) like a sword or a weapon (Zayin) and slice through every cycle of defeat, dread, lack, sickness, etc.
I use my voice to say – this is the year of greater things, greater works, greater miracles, greater peace, greater joy, greater health, greater wealth…GREATER!!
The activation of our faith begins with this:
I believe God’s word. He says “things” like –
I will hasten to perform My word.
My word will not come back void.
My word will prosper in its purpose.
The new year comes with opportunities about the year ahead whether we use God’s calendar or the Gregorian calendar.
Remember, grace is God’s ability to do in you what you cannot do for yourself. It is a gift from God. Grace settles these things: the past issues that brought an absence of life, joy, prosperity, fulfillment, purpose.
Grace activates faith to believe for the new and good in the midst of every bad, old thing that follows you like your shadow. Grace activates greater things that are overflowing with abundance and goodness.
I AM GRACED FOR ALL THINGS NEW.
I AM GRACED FOR GREATER THINGS.
DeeAnn and I are believing for greater things to come in miraculous ways as the new year unfolds.
Pey – we say you will not come under evil’s power and intimidation. You are bold and very courageous. You are fully engaged in the new.
Zayin – we use the crowned sword to announce the kingdom of God is within you. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
God uses our voice, like a sword, to cut through everything that clashes with our Biblical worldview, faith-based principles, health, well-being, justice, promises of the restoration of all things.
We appreciate you, bless you and pray that you prosper, be in health and experience new joys, new strength, new revelation…a whole lot of new stuff. In fact, greater things!!
