HEBREW MONTHS OF AV/ELUL AV – JULY 15-AUG 13, 2026 ELUL – AUG 14-SEPT 11, 2026

07.28.26 | by Sandy Newman & DeeAnn Ward

AV – contrary to what we’re hearing in the news, we are about to step into kingdom opportunities that are “timed” for now.
Luke 12:32“Fear not, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
The history associated with the month of AV carries a life lesson for us.
    • Moses sends 12 tribe leaders to check out the promised land.
    • Ten came back with unbelief in their mouth.
    • Two came back with “let’s do this thing” in their mouth.
Lesson: don’t repeat history that does not line up with the prophetic word. Caleb said, we are well able to overcome anything. Joshus said, the giants are bread for us. Their defense is removed from them. The Lord is with us. A 10/2 dynamic developed and they stayed in the wilderness several more years. The month of AV was intended to be the time that Israel entered the Promised Land. Instead, they held back in unbelief and put themselves under a curse.
God wants AV to be a timeframe of blessing. We are presented with a choice.
We choose to believe God’s promise.
We choose to enter God’s blessing no matter what stands in the way.

ELUL – Incredible thought: God didn’t give us a chair; He gave us a tree.

When God finished creating all things, including man – male and female, only two genders, just saying – He blessed them. With that blessing He said to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, subdue it and take dominion. In other words, take the blessing and transform, reform and redo the earth. **God didn’t give them a chair, He gave them a tree.
    Blessing becomes a tool!

In the church world we use bless, blessing, blessed quite often. Do we understand the real meaning.
Websters: bless: to release divine care, protection, welfare.
Hebrew: bless: benediction, prosperity, liberty, a pool where camels kneel to drink.
Greek: bless: prosper, speak a benediction and announce the end of.

When we say to someone – “have a blessed day” there’s new meaning attached to it. We are releasing protection, prosperity and a pool into their lives. We are using the tool of blessing to transform, reform or redo anything in their day that might get out of order. That blessing is time-released into their day to give a benediction, an end to all things contrary to blessing.

The Hebrew month of Elul has a characteristic of fixing what is broken. God has given us a tool of blessing to mend, repair, transform and reform – anything!

Reach into the Bible toolbelt and pull out this blessing:
II Peter 1:3 “According to His divine power He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness…”
I John 4:4 “You are of God and have overcome them, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you will prosper…”
We speak His word and blessing produces something we can’t see until that blessing is released. Wow!!

A man of God released this in June of this year:
**The Lord says, your words will begin to open doors of blessing and of prosperity. Doors that have been shut will begin to open. Your words will now carry the weight of heaven on a new level. You will speak to the mountain and it will be removed.

In these days, Faith is required and Blessing is a tool.

DeeAnn and I take the tool of blessing and create a seat of victory and prosperity today.
A chair of triumph. Created out of blessing!!
After all, God didn’t give us a chair, He gave us a tree!

**Our building project is moving slowly but moving! We are not operating from a debt perspective. Where we are in the process is all paid for! We are very thankful for those who have sown into the remodel and appreciate those who will give. Our thanksgiving goes beyond any words we can express other than a heartfelt Thank You!
