HEBREW MONTH OF CHESHVAN OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 20 2025
Cheshvan is about position. Where do we stand? Where do we sit? Where do we walk? In other words – where are we and where should we be?
According to the season we are presently in, which includes the new Hebrew year 5786, we are positioned to transition: positioned to transcend any limitation and to know truth.
Cheshvan is the month of the anointing which changes us from ordinary to extraordinary: furnishes what we need to prosper: empowers us to stomp on what wears us down. This is when we put our foot on the head of the enemy. This is when we get positioned for victory. This is when we stand in our authority.
The origin of the anointing was from a practice of shepherds. Lice and other insects would often get into the wool of sheep and when the bugs got near the head, they would burrow into the sheep’s ears and eventually kill them. The ancient shepherds poured oil on the sheep’s head. This made the wool slippery, making it impossible for insects to get near the sheep’s ears. From this, anointing became symbolic of blessing, protection and empowerment.
Anointing: furnishes what is needed (whatever we need to do)
Anointing: activates untapped talents in us
Anointing: commissions new authority to decree a thing and it gets established
The anointing is the perpetual power of God that produces joy, confidence, boldness and divine grace.
God is no respecter of persons. It’s important to remember that it’s His anointing. It belongs to Him BUT we are in Him and He’s in us. He’s the anointed One living in us. His anointing destroys the yoke of disease, poverty and bondage.
God’s anointing releases healing, deliverance, miracles, signs, wonders. That’s pretty big stuff but it also helps us live out our everyday life as one of the called out, chosen and appointed people of God. Really, most of the time I need an anointing to stand in line at the grocery store waiting on people that seem utterly surprised they have to pay and start digging for money after it’s all bagged up and I’ve been standing in line forever…
DECLARATIONS:
• I am positioned to transcend limitations.
• I am positioned to overcome poverty.
• I am positioned to tread on all the power of the enemy.
What once held us back will no longer have power over us!
In the midst of war, struggles and an endless list of worries and concerns, we count on each other to release victory and truth.
DeeAnn and I thank you for your tireless stand for righteousness and justice. Knowing we are aligned with you puts us in position to believe God when it makes natural sense not to. Your faithfulness causes us to believe in advance what only makes sense in reverse.
